Mio Suemasa is one of the newest members of Spank's International Team, but by no means new to the world of top level DH racing! Mio has been a serious threat to the ranks of the UCI Women's Pro DH circuit for close to a decade, despite the fact that she is only 29 years old!
Hailing from Kobe, Japan, Mio has held the Asian DH Championship for 10 straight years! Add to that a successful career on the UCI World Cup, including a silver at the 2004 World Champs, and a podium already this year (2012) in South Africa! Mio is no stranger to success on two wheels...after all, she won the World Champion's spot when she raced as a junior as early as 2001.
When asked about her favorite trail...Mio chose Bromont Canada. Not bad!
