Matej Charvat

Matej hails from the beautiful city of Prague Czech Rep, where he started racing competitively at the age of  14 years. It didn't take long before he earned the junior national champions spot in 2003. Matej never looked back, entering the ranks of the iXS DH Cup and UCI World Cup, and winning the Czech national championships twice! World Cup racing has become a focus in recent years. Matej has brought home more than a few commendable results for the Banshee world cup team, and shows consistent improvement race after race.

Like many of the fastest men on Earth, Charvat has a strong motocross background, and still enjoys a little "braaaap" here and there...so it doesn't surprise us that he enjoys putting his Spank wheels to the test on just about any thing fast and loose!  When most riders are sweating the trip to Champery, Matej tells us its about his favorite place to race!

When he's not training on the big rig, Matej enjoys trail and enduro riding, motocross, and precious time with his favorite lady and family.
